EMPROGEST 8% GEL contains Progesterone which belongs to the group of medicines called Steroid hormones. It is used to provide extra progesterone to treat infertility due to imbalance of progesterone levels during the menstrual cycle or when you are having an assisted fertility procedure.     

EMPROGEST 8% GEL is not recommended for use in patients with unusual vaginal bleeding, known or suspected cancer of the breast or genital organs, blood clots or porphyria disorder and missed abortion (intrauterine death of the embryo or fetus).

Before using EMPROGEST 8% GEL, inform your doctor if you have liver, heart or kidney problems, fits, asthma, migraine, diabetes or depression.

Prior to treatment with EMPROGEST 8% GEL, your doctor might do a smear test and check your breasts and pelvic area. During your treatment, your doctor will check for any problems with your womb or any signs of blood clots in your blood vessels.     

It is usually not recommended for use during pregnancy, but your doctor might give it to you to support your new pregnancy and it is not recommended for use in breast-feeding women, children and adolescents (below 18 years of age).

The most common side effect of using EMPROGEST 8% GEL is breast tenderness. Consult your doctor if the side effect worsens.

Estogel Gel 80 gm belongs to a group of medicines called oestrogen hormones used to prevent and treat hot flashes in women experiencing menopause. It is also used to treat vaginal itching, dryness, and burning sensations in women experiencing menopause.

Estogel Gel 80 gm contains ''estradiol'', which works by replacing the oestrogen, which is normally produced by the ovaries, thereby providing relief from menopausal symptoms.

In some cases, Estogel Gel 80 gm may cause side effects such as headache, breast pain or tenderness, diarrhoea, gas and heartburn. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
